Bernhardt Chancellor's China Deck & Base
A desk designed by preeminent architect Daniel H. Burnham (1846 -1912) for use in his own private library is now housed in the Smithsonian Institution Building. That desk influenced the design of the Chancellor’s China, which was named to honor the position that heads the Smithsonian’s Board. The Chancellor’s China, with its clean lines and classic molding details, is presented in pin knotty cherry veneers with a Castle Brick finish and is accentuated by a tracery treatment on the glass doors that is evocative of the Smithsonian Castle's late Romanesque and early Gothic motifs. - Castle Brick finish Dimensions
